Musculoskeletal disorders, most commonly disc hernias, are treated with this method. During the treatment, we try to reposition the protruded discus in a mechanical fashion, which is achieved through different movements. This system is built on active movement. The patient can carry out the exercises on his own with the help of a remedial gymnast. With these exercises, the patient can control the pain and the outcome of the problems on his own. The objective is to neutralize the pain, and after achieving this, to stabilize that status. Besides active movement, passive, manual techniques might also be necessary. The main objective of the treatment is to prevent recurring pain, to teach gymnastics and to continue with the treatment at home.
